H. M. Caldwell Co. first published this series in 1905 with volumes #1-3. In 1906 volumes #4-6 were added. In 1908 volumes #7-9 were added. #10 was added in 1909. were added.

In 1911 when the name of the series was changed to "The New Nursery Hour Series", the size of the books was reduced to 8.75” x 9.75” and the cover illustrations changed.

2. Cloth (Holland Zephyr) with various multicolor book specific cover appliqué inlaid. 9” x 11” (#4-10) 1905-1910

3. Illustrated multicolor board covers specific for the title. 9” x 11” (#1-10) 1911-1913

In 1911 the cover illustrations on the covers of all the titles changed. These volumes did not have an appliqué
