H. M. Caldwell Co. published volumes #1-3 in 1896. In 1897 #4-9 were added to the series and the numbering changed.

In 1897 the entire series was sold as a boxed set with dark green ribbed silk cloth, gilt spine and cover.

Illustrated with photographs and a photogravure frontispiece.

Two formats:

1. Cloth in Bancroft Buckram. Various colors. Spine gilt lettering and cover and spine with gilt decoration. Gilt top. 7.75” x 5.25”. Boxed

2. Half calf. Boxed. (Not seen)

3. Cloth. Dark green/blue. Gilt spine lettering and gilt book specific cover illustration. 7.75” x 5.5” (Sold as a boxed set in 1897)
